Take time to pray
Psalm 9:1-2
1 I will praise You, O LORD, with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonders.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Examine
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Notice
God
God is trustworthy.
God protects.
God is generous.
God motivates us to do good.
Lesson
Sometimes doing good/the right thing is unpopular, but we can trust God to stand with us when we do.
When we delight in the LORD, God gives us the desires of heart because our desires are for Him.

What am I desiring that is not from God?
Response
This could be a very long list, so I will choose the one that is giving me the most difficultly lately - food. Not the food itself, but using it for comfort instead of turning to God for comfort.
